This research paper provides a nuanced account on the manner in which Islam is approached and accessed by second-generation Muslim communities in Germany through a case study in Berlin-Kreuzberg.Dispelling totalising narratives surrounding 9 the role of indoctrination and the spread of radical agendas through the Internet, Gassal Bosch’s research reveals a selective and critical use of digital sources by young Muslims. Her article illustrates the multiplicity of interpretations and lived experiences of Islam that are used to navigate questions about faith and identity when coming of age.
