OMER accepts shorter pieces/analyses on topics related to the Middle East and North Africa region for consideration for the blog. Get creative!* We enjoy reading poetry, first-person accounts, political analyses, historical case studies, and more! Blog submissions are collected on a rolling basis and we aim to respond as quickly as possible.

*OMER does not re-publish pieces which have already been published elsewhere.

Blog Submission Guidelines:

Please submit your work in a Word (or similar processing) file format. We do not have minimum word counts for the blog; try not to exceed 2,000 words. Please include the following in your submissions.

• Name
• E-mail address
• Institutional affiliation/Occupation
• Footnote referencing and full bibliography (if applicable). Chicago Manual of Style preferred.
